Dear all,

following latest discussions in the railML use case working groups the issue has been sharpened:

It is required to identify the "preferred" track of a line (if existent) where trains usually run. In some countries, this might be the right track, in other countries it maybe the left track. In order not to work with "left track" or "right track", it was suggested to make use of references instead. In particular, we thought about a repeatable child element:

<line><hasPreferredTrack>@ref

In addition, a boolean flag shall be used to indicate whether the line has preferred tracks or not:

<line>@hasPreferredTrack={"yes", "no"}

Any comments from the community are very much appreciated.

Best regards
Christian
