Hi all,
for the new railML3 TT model we have the requirement to model operational connections in order to describe where a crew exchange takes place. The model the timetable developer group proposes is very much like the modelling of an operational train dependency, i.e. a train waiting for another to reach a certain position before continuing its journey.
The activity is added to the train receiving the crew and refers to the providing one using the id of the operationalTrainVariant and the base itinerary point id. Additionally the transfer time can be specified as it may very much differ from normal transfer times that can be specified using connectionTransferTimes.
We decided to post this design here, to give you the chance to feedback on it. Do you need more info along with the activity to describe a crew exchange? Let us know what you think so we can improve the design if necessary.
As the release of railML 3.2 is nearing, I would like to ask you to reply to this post with your suggestions until the 10th of April.

Für das neue railML3 TT-Modell besteht die Anforderung, betriebliche Anschlüsse zu modellieren, um zu beschreiben, wo ein Personalwechsel stattfindet. Das Modell, das die Timetable Developer Group vorschlägt, ähnelt sehr der Modellierung einer betrieblichen Zugabhängigkeit, d.h. ein Zug wartet auf einen anderen, bis er eine bestimmte Position erreicht hat, bevor er seine Fahrt fortsetzt.
Die Aktivität wird dem Zug, der das Personal aufnimmt, hinzugefügt und verweist auf den Zug, der das Personal bereitstellt, indem die Kennung der operationalTrainVariant und die Kennung des baseItineraryPoints verwendet werden. Zusätzlich kann die Transferzeit angegeben werden, die sich stark von den normalen Umsteigezeiten unterscheiden kann, die über die connectionTransferTimes angegeben werden können.
Wir haben uns entschlossen, diesen Entwurf hier zu veröffentlichen, um Ihnen die Möglichkeit zu geben, Feedback zu geben. Benötigen Sie noch weitere Informationen zu der Aktivität, um einen Crew-Tausch zu beschreiben? Lassen Sie uns wissen, was Sie denken, damit wir den Entwurf gegebenenfalls verbessern können.
Da die Veröffentlichung von railML 3.2 kurz bevorsteht, möchte ich Sie bitten, bis zum 10. April auf diesen Beitrag mit Ihren Vorschlägen zu antworten.

Hi all,
in addition to the modelling mentioned above, we added another attribute to the desciption of the crew transfer, to indicate which kind of crew is changed here. For the beginning we added the values conductor and engineer to the enumeration, however we made sure that it is an extendable enumeration. The requirement was reported by a member of the developer group.

Zusätzlich zu der oben erwähnten Modellierung haben wir ein weiteres Attribut zur Beschreibung des Crew-Transfers hinzugefügt, um anzugeben, welche Art von Crew hier gewechselt wird. Für den Anfang haben wir die Werte conductor und engineer in die Aufzählung aufgenommen, wobei wir darauf geachtet haben, dass es sich um eine erweiterbare Aufzählung handelt. Die Anforderung wurde von einem Mitglied der Entwicklergruppe eingebracht.
