Hello everybody,

today we discussed about derailers and their handling in RailML. Version 1.1
does not contain anything about derailers but Version 0.9 did. So, does
anybody know where they went to?

Thanks and best regards,
René Schönemann

Uh-oh.... I can't remember any reason why we could have intentionally
deleted them. If the break occurs between V0.9 and V1.0 it is likely
that we made a mistake when we prepared the release 1.0.

Since I'm just preparing a new "mini-release" of the infrastructure
schema for the next days, I can use that chance to re-include them.

Any objections?

Best regards,
Volker Knollmann

Unfortunately I found no trace of derailers in the prior versions of the
infrastructure schema. I checked V0.95 and some V1.0-pre-releases. And
since could not determine the original implementation, I did not include
them in the developer released on 2008-10-29.

Can you please tell we where to find the original implementation?

TIA and best regards,
Volker Knollmann

A description of the derailer can be found in "Modellierung einer
Eisenbahninfrastruktur in RailML" by Nikolaus Fries
(http://www.railml.org/documents/studienarbeit_fries.pdf) on page 41. As far
as I know in this document the versions 0.94 and 0.95 have been used.

Best regards
