What is the 'sequence' attribute used for?

It's needed that a stop post may refer to several signals, as Carsten
mentioned at the railML-conference in Zurich. But I don't understand the
use case where these referred signals have any 'sequence' relation to the
stop post.

Carsten or any other along-reader, please help out with an example from
the practice. ;-)

Any comments appreciated.
