Dear all,

The decision for railML 3.3 was to move from the 15-element Dublin Core (namespace http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/) to the newer and much larger set of Dublin Core Terms (namespace http://purl.org/dc/terms/). This does not cover version numbering and checksums. As discussed above, checksums would need to be provided outside of the file, and version numbering schemes vary so much that we do not consider it standardisable. For needs not covered by the Dublin Core Terms, you could create your own extension.

For information on how to create extensions for railML, please see https://wiki3.railml.org/wiki/Dev:Extending_railML

Best regards,
Thomas
