Dear community

The recently published railML 3.2 beta 2 seems to be missing the reference to the visualization subschema.
The file visualizations3.xsd is part of the package (and also has changes compared to the railML 3.2 beta 1 version), but is not referenced anymore in the railml3.xsd file.
The documentation file also does not mention the visualizations anymore.

As I cannot remember hearing or reading something about a discontinuation of the visualization subschema, I suppose this happened involuntarily. Since our tool railOscope exports visualization information, we rely on having this subschema included in this version.

Thank you for your feedback.

Best regards,
Dominik Looser

Dear Dominik,

thank you very much for your message. You are right: the missing anchor point for the visualization model is a defect in the railML 3.2 beta2, which will be corrected with the next beta version. The <visualizations> sub schema shall be a child element in <railML> as described in the Git issue #370 [1]. This defect is already documented in Git issue #447 [2].

Best regards
