With reference to posting #3841 "ISO RailDax TSI Telematics (TAF/TAP) mapping"

Telematics LocationSubsidiaryTypeCode defines a type not available in railML3.3:
59 - Train Service Substitute Stop: Place outside of railway station or railway stop, where passengers board or leave bus or any other transport mean as substitution of train service. The replacement service subsidiary location code is used, when an existing train is replaced by a bus to allow the indication of the departure point and the processing of real-time messages (e.g. delays). Also known as bus replacement service (BRS). Physical part of Primary Location.

Does anybody have a UC requirement for this? It is also available in NeTex and would show in the mapping here.

In Norway we model the BRS as additional (virtual) platforms part of the OCP. This should be discussed as part of forum posting on transportation modes (#3839)

Hi Torben,

Thanks for your input. Actually, the timetable group is currently working on the use case replacement services. In that context we also want to offer the option to provide info on replacement services that are not encoded as trains or not even part of the railML document (external replacements). For this, my understanding is, that we will also need to be able to describe where that replacement service is going to take place in order for people to get there. I will discuss this topic in the upcoming timetable developer meeting with the goal of figuring out, what information typically is exchanged when organizing external replacement services.

Best regards, Milan
