Regarding the geometric elements included in the UML diagram of railML 3.1 we identified a number of attributes/elements that from our perspective (SBB) are pivotal for a complete and correct representation geometric characteristics. These are:

    - Length of a curve (in German: Bogenlänge), no matter whether it is a horizontal one or a gradient curve
    - Azimuth is needed for representing the angle of a horizontal curve
    - Maximum Speed that can be directly derived from the sheer geometric characteristics (of a superelevation curve)
    - The "vertical angle" should preferably be named "Gradient" rather than "slope".
Best, Alex.
