Details:

GPSinfradat follows the aim to record and visualise railway infrastructure data – economically, fast and accurately. Information about track geometry, topology and related infrastructure elements are dynamically recorded with a mobile measurement unit and combined with high resolution image capturing. As a result, the railway track and scenery can be viewed within an interactive video based simulation. All measured data can be exported for utilization and further analyses in other railway related applications.

Infrastructure data provided by GPSinfradat include information about railway topology, track elements and operational elements of the recorded railway network. All objects in the database are exported with a georeference to further applications (e.g. simulators, onboard passenger information systems, timetable tools, driver advisory systems, construction planning).
