The Norwegian infrastructure manager BaneNor kindly provided railML.org with railML example data of their railway network. BaneNor works with HaCon´s Train Planning System (TPS) and uses a railML interface for the exchange of their timetabling data.

The data set covers the complete Norwegian railway network and contains railML 2.2 timetable data of 3319 trains. It is available for download on the railML.org homepage together with other example data. It can be used as a reference, to check the railML compatibility of a tool or as a preparation for the certification of a tool. The corresponding infrastructure is available on the BaneNor homepage.

“The extension of our example data database by the BaneNor data of TPS is a great enrichment for railML.org and the railML community. We are very happy that BaneNor trusts railML and implements it in their daily business.”, comments railML.org coordinator Vasco Paul Kolmorgen.
