Announcement of the end of support for railML 2.3

by Klaas Grundmann (railML.org) (comments: 0)

As the railML® scheme is always developing further it is not worthwhile to continue the support of older versions like railML 2.3. Therefore, the support of railML 2.3 will end on June 30th, 2024.

The difference is going to be that railML.org from this date onwards will no longer:

  1. certify new interfaces or put them into productive/commercial use.
  2. improve the railML Wiki and other documentation for railML 2.3
  3. provide, support or answer questions regarding railML 2.3 to software developers

It will still be possible to use railML 2.3: Existing 2.3 interfaces can still be used for an unlimited time if they are certified, and no changes are made. If you are uncertain of the difference between railML 2.3 and 2.4 you can click on the following link to our wiki page: https://wiki2.railml.org/wiki/Dev:changes/2.4.

We will continue the support of railML 2.4 and 2.5 until further notice and will support you if there are any questions or you need help with the conversion to 2.4/2.5/3. x.

Further information for the railML versions can be found in the railML's version timeline.
