Timetable Developer Meeting in Dresden

by Vasco Paul Kolmorgen (railML.org)

On the 3rd of December 2014 the second timetable developer meeting was hosted by the railML partner iRFP in Dresden. A total of 10 developers of 8 different railML partners discussed the following topics:

  • Certification process for railML®
  • State of development for infrastructure / UIC RailTopoModel
  • Timetable development requirements in railML 2.3
  • Roadmap Timetable in railML 3.0

For the railML subscheme infrastructure[nbsp]a use case based approach was selected. This approach, which was introduced by the infrastructure[nbsp]scheme coordinator Christian Rahmig, aims to document and to analyse the requirements for an adjustment to the UIC RailTopoModel. The timetable[nbsp]development will use similar processes in terms of railML 3.0. Therefore railML users are provided with an increased level of transparency about the supported use cases of a software of an interface. Furthermore potential model changes for a successful refactoring in railML version 3.0 were discussed.

The Timetable[nbsp]Developer Meeting Spring 2015 will take place in March 2015 in Vienna. The results of the meeting will be presented on the 27th railML conference. (Author: Philip Wobst, Hacon Hanover)
