Dear all,

recently, railML.org made the latest alpha version of railML v3, v3.0.5,
available in its SVN [1]. The access to this version is limited to the
alpha version testers of the railML community. If you want to become
part of this alpha testers group, please contact me.

Now to the content of railML v3.0.5:
After a long break (10/2016-03/2017) we continued the data modelling
with respect to infrastructure and based on the priority use cases
listed in [2].
The latest alpha version does not yet completely include the results of
the "One UML approach" (more details see [3]), but represents an ongoing
development following previous version 3.0.is4.

Apart from railML v3 development, railML version 2.4 has been announced
at the last railML Conference in Berne on 22.03.2017 (see [4]). With
respect to infrastructure the summary of changes shall be small.
However, I would like to ask you for your opinion: Which corrections and
enhancements in railML infrastructure shall become part of upcoming
railML 2.4? In order to answer the question, please feel free to scan
through the list of open tickets (see [5]) and the railML forum entries
(see [6]). If you find something that urgently has to be implemented in
the railML schema via version 2.4, please send me your request here in
the forum or by email until end of April.
