Hello,

During our last meeting in Karlsruhe there raised the need for more
detailed speed change definitions.

There is already a comprehensive proposal described in a Trac
ticket. [1] It is currently not implemented because of its
non-downward-compatible changes. It waits for the next major release.

The proposed change enables multiple speed profiles per track with its
own characterized restrictions regardless the 'train categories'
running there. You may define speed profiles for different axle loads,
loading gauges, active train protection systems, active tilting
systems but also temporary speed restrictions with its temporal and
geographical extent.

Each train part may refer to the speed changes it is calculated
for. The infrastructure branch may contain even more speed profiles
than a train part needs. That's the same case as with the ocps defined
in the infrastructure branch.

Please have a look at the proposal in the Trac ticket if you are
interested in this enhancement. It seems that we may implement it any
time soon.

Any hints, questions, remarks, comments, +/-1, welcome. :-)

Kind regards...
Susanne
