Hallo Newsgroup,

http://wiki.railml.org/index.php?title=CommonDataTypes

Danke,
Volker Knollmann

Dear RailML-friends,

as promised during the last meeting on Tuesday, I screened the
Infrastructure-schema for simple datatypes and collected them using a
new Wiki-page:

http://wiki.railml.org/index.php?title=CommonDataTypes

Additionally, I scanned the schema for all attributes which can be
assigned with rather arbitrary values (mostly strings). Since those
attributes are a potential problem for the interoperability of
railML-aware applications, we should define them more strictly in the
future. A list containing all of those attribute can found on the above
mentioned page, too.

I was totally sure about the physical unit or the meaning of some items
in the two lists. In these cases I added a comment in a separate column.

I'd like YOU, my dear friend of railML, to review, correct or extend the
lists I created. Please also add approriate data type information about
the other schemas; the tables are already prepared, you just need to add
some crosses ('x').

Thanks and Best Regards,
Volker Knollmann
