Hallo,

we are developing a software for calculation of railway infrastructure
availability. One portion is the feed-in of incidents (infrastructure
failures). Therefore we have started to develop a new scheme to have this
input in RailML format. This scheme will contain info about time, duration
and type of failure. We will present more details on next RailML meeting
in April.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen/Best regards,

Hallo,

I wonder if there is no XML-Scheme defined for incidents in general like
for insurance companies or so. Since many incidents don't restrict on only
one part (e.g. if there is an accident the rollingstock and the timetable
may be involved too) it might be usefull to work with an incident that
only has references to the concerned parts of the infrastructure and to
the other schemes if relevant? So we could use the work done before by
specialists for incidents and cover information not only for the
infrastructure element but also on the gravitiy of the incident and its
consequences (injured persons, costs, ...).

Best regards

Hallo,

just to correct a potential misunderstanding: "incident" is in the context of
that new scheme not directly an "accident" but mainly an "equipment failure". It
will be used in that case to calculate system availability in the end.
